About Me
Intro
My name is Grant Robinson and I'm a Software Engineering student at Miami University in Oxford. I'm planning on graduating in the spring of 2026, and I'm currently looking for an internship in Software Development & Engineering, Cybersecurity, or anything IT or Computer Science related.
Programming Experience
I’ve been programming since I started college in the Fall of 2022,
and I’ve gained experience in a multitude of coding languages. These
include Java, C++, HTML, CSS, SQL, Javascript, and Python.
When I started college, Java was the first programming language I learned,
so it’s been fundamental in me learning C++ and Python. This summer (2024),
I’ve been learning Python through Leetcode and Neetcode problems,
which require the knowledge of challenging algorithms.
Why Create this Website?
Ever since I started college, I never took the time to create my own personal projects. I would always try my best with schoolwork and leave it at that. So, I wanted to take the opportunity to try something new with the creation of this portfolio, and see what I could potentially learn. I used HTML, CSS, and Javascript to create this website, which are all languages that I had close to no experience with before this project.
This website is essentially a portfolio that I can update as I continue my software engineering journey. Its two ultimate goals are to provide a visualization of who I am and what I’ve done, as well as give me a chance to gain experience in front-end web development.
Conclusion
